Try these fries as an alternative to chips, we are sure you will love them!

Ingredients:
800g fresh carrots or swede or celeriac (swede & celeriac fries will contain fewer carbs)
1 tbsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp red cayenne pepper
lard for deep frying
salt to taste
Method: Number of Servings 4 / Prep Time 15 Minutes- Cook Time 20 Minutes
1. Preheat lard in a deep fryer or frying pan to 185°C.
2. Cut the vegetables into the size of fries and place in bowl with peppers.
3. Mix to coat fries on all sides.
4. Deep fry in batches about 5 minutes until crispy brown, remove and drain.
5. Salt to taste.
N.B. Omit the cayenne pepper if you do not want the fries to be spicy.
