If you think you can't have a favourite dish like a pizza on a low carb diet, think again.

Low Carb Pizza

Low Carb Pepperoni Pizza

Ingredients: 

Pizza Base 
135g grated mozzarella cheese
50g ground almonds
1/2 tsp xanthan gum

For the dough, use a packet of pre-grated mozzarella. Fresh mozzarella will cause the dough to become too sticky.

Topping 
50g tomato puree
5g garlic powder
115g grated mozzarella cheese
135g grated cheddar cheese
120g pepperoni sliced (or another topping of your choice)
50g onion (chopped)
50g green & red pepper (chopped)
Salt & pepper to taste

Method: Serves 6 | Prep Time 20 | Cook Time 10-15 minutes
​1. Using a metal spoon, mix the ingredients for the dough together
2. Microwave the mix at 500W for 1 minute
3. Stir the mix with the back of the metal spoon until it forms a dough
4. Microwave for another 30 seconds then stir again (using back of spoon)
5. Place the dough between two sheets of greaseproof paper and roll to desired thickness. Cut/shape as desired
6. Heat a large frying pan on a medium heat. Do NOT use any oil or fat
7. Fry the dough on both sides until golden brown, then place on a greased tray
8. Mix the tomato puree and garlic powder in a bowl, and spread evenly over the dough base
9. Spread half the remaining cheese over the top
10. Arrange the pepperoni, onion, and peppers as desired
11. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top
12. Add salt and pepper, to taste
13. Bake in a hot oven (200C plus) for 10-15 until golden brown
14. Slice and serve

30g fat
23g protein
