This homemade burger is very high in protein, serve on a Brioche bun or with salad for an enjoyable lunch, evening meal or party food.

Homemade Turkey Burger

Ingredients:

250g turkey mince (2%)
2 Broche buns
3 salad tomatoes
6 slices red onion
Handful of rocket
Fresh parsley
Fresh thyme
½ garlic powder
½ tsp chilli flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil (to fry in)

Method: Makes 2 burgers / Prep Time 15 minutes –  Cook Time 10-12 Minutes 

1. Finely slice the parsley and thyme and combine with the mince, garlic, salt, pepper and chilli flakes
2. Mound the mince mixture into two burger patty’s
3. Heat up the olive oil in a flying pan and add the burgers. Fry for 5 minutes and then flip. Cook for a further 5-7 minutes until cooked throughout
4. Finely slice the tomatoes and onion and layer on top of the bottom half of the bun
5. Place the bun on top of the onion and top with the rocket and the top half of the bun

  • 3.8g fibre
  • 10g fat
  • 454 kcals
  • 2.5g saturates
  • 0.3g salt
