[Sticky] Gammon with spring onion mash

Fancy a hearty meal? Try this delicious dish.

Gammon with spring onion mash

Ingredients: 

2 unsmoked gammon steaks
2 large potatoes (or several smaller ones)
4 spring onions
1 tsp butter
1 tsp milk
¼ garlic clove
1 large tomato

Method: Number of Servings 2 / Prep Time 15 Minutes – Cook Time 35 Minutes

1. Peel the potatoes and boil until cooked (25-30 minutes)

2. Whilst the potatoes are boiling, finely chop the spring onion and garlic. Grill the gammon until cooked through (7-8 minutes, flipping half way)

3. Once the potatoes are cooked, drain any water and add them back to the saucepan with the milk, butter and garlic and mash until smooth

4. Add the spring onions to the mash and mix well. Cut the tomato in half and grill for 2-3 minutes

5. Serve
