I have successfully lost about 15% of my body weight on the 12 week X-pert health program and am no longer obese but I now seem to have entered the period where my body is fighting back and releasing hunger hormones such that I am always hungry and cannot eat to fullness no matter how much protein I digest. Are there any tips to get me through this starvation period until my body gets used to the new thinner me?

Hi, thanks for your post. It's difficult to give a short answer to this as your diet history would be the best place to start to understand if you are eating the right number of portions of foods in the correct portion sizes. As a first stop I would go back to keeping a food diary for a week, document everything you eat and drink and then return to page 49 of your handbook to check if what you are eating is in line with the recommended number of portions of each food group and in the correct size of portion. Over time carb creep is common, which we know can trigger hunger, as is not eating the right number of portions of healthy fats to help curb that hunger
Sometimes reintroducing a period of intermittent fasting/time restricted eating can help reduce hunger and can help if you want to trigger weight loss again as can a change/addition of physical activity to your current routine and drinking enough fluids.
Just a thought, are you also tracking you waist measurement as sometimes the weight doesn't appear to drop but waist measurement can be dropping, if, of course you are trying to lose more weight.
Hope this helps
