Does anyone have a low carb recipe for bolognaise sauce please
Hello
Here is my go to simple recipe for a low carb Bolognaise sauce, serves 4:
500g beef mince
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 red pepper, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped or minced
1 tin chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato puree
1 beef stock cube
1. Fry the mince in a large frying pan until browned, then add the chopped onion, pepper and garlic.
2. Fry on a medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
3. Add the stock cube, tomato puree and chopped tomatoes, stir thoroughly and leave to simmer for approx. 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a splash of water if the mixture is looking a little dry.
4. Season if needed with salt and black pepper.

You can substitute the spaghetti for courgette spaghetti https://www.xperthealth.org.uk/participant-forum/courgette-spaghetti/ or health food stores and some larger supermarkets stock lower carb vegetable based alternatives such as konjac noodles, hearts of palm noodles or spinach fettucine.
