She asked a question of me today that I really could answer, but would like to know also, where do you find out how many carbs are permissible per day.
I have helped her to download the MyfitnessPal app but I think you can adjust your requirements so I thought I would ask the question here as everyone is either going through or has been through the same.

Great news that you are on the programme and also looking at ways to reduce your carbs. You will learn more about carbs in sessions 3 and discover how to tailor the number of carbs per day that will work for you. There is no magic number here but we start at 200g, 130g, less than 50g p/d for the Mediterranean, low carb and very low carb respectively. On page 84 of the handbook, you will also see how to follow the carb tolerance flow chart to tweak this.
You may also want to look at the carbs and calls book/app, which can also be very useful.
