A classic pie. Always a crowd pleaser. With low carb almond flour, this pie is a real delight when on a low carb dietary approach.

Ingredients:
Pie Filling
300g Cooked ham (chopped)
2 leeks (sliced)
50g butter (unsalted)
4 cloves of garlic (minced)
250ml double cream
250ml bone broth (or stock)
Pastry
200g Ground almonds
50g melted butter
beaten egg
Salt & pepper
Method: Number of Servings 6 / Prep Time 20 minutes – Cook Time Pie Filling 30 minutes and bake with pastry top 40 minutes

Pie Filling
1. Melt butter
2. Add and fry leeks
3. Add garlic
4. Add ham
5. Add bone broth & cream
6. Simmer to reduce and thicken for ~30 mins
Add mixture to a pie dish.
Pastry
1. Add the ground almonds, melted butter and salt/pepper into a bowl and mix well
2. Roll out between two pieces of cling film to the desired thickness
3. Brush with the beaten egg when on-top of the filling.
Bake in a preheated oven 200C/Gas 6 for 30-40 mins or until golden-brown.
