Ingredients:
250g ground almonds
2 tsp baking powder
100g walnut pieces (alternatively you can use pecans)
50g butter
1 egg (beaten)
2 tbsp sweetener (Stevia, Truvia, xylitol or erythritol)
pinch of salt
Method: Makes 10 servings (51g per serving) / Prep Time 20 Minutes – Cook Time 20 Minutes
1. Mix the dry ingredients
2. Melt the butter and add to the dry ingredients
3. Add sufficient beaten egg until dough is formed
4. Portion into 10 scones
5. Place on baking tray and cook in a moderately hot oven (180°C) for approximately 20 minutes until set and golden brown.
