Hello. I am a newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic and am trying a low carb dietary approach. I have tried making a low carb bread using almond flour and psyllium husk powder. Not a bad taste but would like a personal recommendation to try out. Has anyone reading this got any tried and tested recipe? Thanks.
Hi there - yes, I make this really nice English muffin: https://www.xperthealth.org.uk/participant-forum/english-muffin/
Also I use FibreFlour ( https://www.lonjevity-foods.com/buy-now). The normal FibreFlour to make bread rolls. I weigh out the bread rolls to 50g so that each roll only contains 4g carbs. Recipe here: https://www.lonjevity-foods.com/low-carb-bread-recipe
I use the ultra-fine FibreFlour to make pizza bases and pastry.
Good luck!
Thanks Trudi. I will have a look at the muffin recipe and the rolls using FibreFlour. Will let you know how I get on!
