X-PERT Health Shines a Spotlight on Remarkable Diabetes Education Impact in 2023 Awards Ceremony
On 5th December, healthcare teams from all corners of the UK convened to honour the achievements highlighted in the annual X-PERT Health Audit Report and Awards, acknowledging substantial strides in diabetes management and education.
The 2023 audit results underscore substantial enhancements in the health and lifestyle of individuals living with diabetes nationwide, revealing the positive impact of X-PERT Health’s structured education sessions. This recognition extends to commendable organisations and educators dedicated to delivering the X-PERT education programme throughout the UK.
Below are some of the highlights from the clinical data of the participants who attended an X-PERT programmes between 01/01/2021-31/12/2022:
– HbA1c reduced by 10.8 mmol/mol
– Fasting blood glucose dropped by 0.4 mmol/l
– Cholesterol to HDL ration reduced by 0.4
– Body Weight reduced by 4.2kg
– Triglycerides to HDL ratio reduced by 0.4
– Waist size dropped by 6.5cm
Since its establishment in 2008, X-PERT Health has been a national leader in developing, implementing, and evaluating structured education for preventing and managing type 2 diabetes. The organisation’s mission includes providing support for individuals with prediabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes (both newly diagnosed and established), obesity, and weight-related concerns.
Dr Trudi Deakin, CEO of X-PERT Health, emphasized the pivotal role of education in reducing medication dependence and guiding individuals toward type 2 remission.
