We’re feeling festive — and we’re excited to share a selection of delicious Christmas-inspired recipes on our free Participant Forum! From indulgent treats to lighter bites, we’ve got something for everyone this season.
We’re starting with Christmas Chestnut Soup. This creamy, luxurious Soup — inspired by Delia Smith and lovingly made every year by our Operations Manager, Helen. It’s her go-to Christmas lunch starter, and it never disappoints!

Ingredients:
200g cooked and peeled chestnuts (Merchant Gourmet do packs, or some supermarkets do their own brand)
1 stick of celery, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 small carrot, chopped
1.2 liters of vegetable stock
Salt & Pepper to taste
Method: Number of Servings 4 / Prep Time 5 Minutes / Cook Time 45 Minutes
Cost £0.80 per serving
1. Place all the ingredients into a large pan and simmer for approx. 45 mins.
2. Leave to cool slightly then blend with a hand blender until smooth.
Can be served with crispy smoked bacon pieces.
Freezes well so can be made well in advance.
